This is our most popular junior series and is for ages 5 to 16. 

It runs for 16 weeks from the first Wednesday in May at Delancey Park, our Butterfield Flyers racing league usually comprises of two races each evening and incorporates bike-handling and core cycling technique sessions led by our British Cycling coaches to help our younger riders develop their cycling skills.

It is an off-road/mountain bike style series, however any flat bar bike is suitable and we only ask that your child is able to ride already, their bike is roadworthy and you wear a helmet.

Racing starts just after 18:00 and we aim to wrap up between 19:15 and 19:45 depending on the age group.

Riders are grouped by school year from years 1 to 5, and then in U12, U14 and U16 age groups, with different courses designed to suit the younger and older groups.

Results and standings are published after each session, but whilst a competitive series with end of season awards night/disco for all riders the emphasis is on fun.

There is also our infamous Flyers canteen, which supplies teas, coffees and copious amounts of cake throughout the season!
